Nang Prue to Si Sawat loop, Kanchanaburi

Does anyone have any info on this route please? The roads taken, routes etc. I am asking for a guy on the HorizonsUnlimited forum who I am in touch with.
I have done a online search and searched this forum but there is not a lot of info available, unless I am looking with my eyes closed 555

Going from Nong Prue to Kanchanaburi via Si Sawat? Just take 4041 westwards over the mountain and south to Si Sawat, and continiue 3199 southwards to K-buri. It takes maybe half a day.
4041 is a narrow cheaply paved former trail with hairpins, potholes and landslides over the mountain... 3199 is better, the 20 km section around the dam is older, but better built with proper concrete ditches so still in pretty good condition after 20+ years.

Since most people today use the ferry to bypass that 20 km, its a very lovely abandoned jungle road. First time I saw a wild elephant here, no pic since I was busy to turn around bike and let him pass
