Phnom Phen to Sihanoukville

Myself and two friends and planning to go from Phnom Phen to Sihanoukville and back over a few days at the start of July. On the way we plan to go via takeo and kampot roughly following NH 3 and then following roughly NH 4 back up.
Anyone know any good dirt trails or routes. Any good maps. Or any good things to do that we should not miss?
