Another 60,000 kms later & the old Oneal is getting a bit ratty, like the rider some would say.
I've reglued some of the rubber trimming, that is starting to come loose, but it is never quite fully satisfactory...
Time for another helmet, but I dont like the latest Sierra 11 that has a clip lock & not rings.
Checking up at Helmet2Home there's a black one in my size & a same colour one in an L size, but I need a XXL.
Damn. I don't want a black one.
Oh no problem says the boss. The shell is the same, we can swap over the liner & padding for you?
I try on the black XXL to confirm, yes it fits like a glove, but the same colour white & blue doesn't fit is an L.
The liners & padding are swapped over & hey presto, fits like a glove again.
And just to reconfirm I've got the right size, the size stickers are swapped over as well.
As it is # 3 Oneal, time to bargain a bit & the price comes down to 4,300 baht from 4,500 baht.
The Oneal Sierra II is a winner for me.

The only issue with these for for me is that the rubber trimming does not last & comes off after extended use.

I've glued them back on but it never seems to last sadly...so another 4900 baht investment.
Perhaps I should be more industrious...

Try some Urethane adhesive - stuff they glue windshields in with.
I use it to reattach the soles on my running shoes - glue last a year or two and they separate.
Got over 5 years with the urethane and good as new.
This stuff sticks and don't come off - this includes from your fingers so disposable gloves a must

For a small job like what I think you are doing, a chopstick, skewer, popsicle stick, etc will help place the adhesive just where you want it. It does not set super fast so you got a few minutes to place it just right. Let set for 24 hours - good to go.

Yes it worked well for a month of two. then all came unstuck again. 55
3 goes then eventually I got tired of the rubber flapping around at speed.

If you're buying a new helmet here and want to find the correct size, it's advisable to measure you head and check it against the brand's size chart. Helmets are designed to fit just above your eyebrows and ears, and as such this is the best place to measure your head to guarantee proper fit.
