Another update after double-checking with Thai Health via Mon.

There have been a couple of favourable policy changes, and one less favourable.
1. The bad news: we can no longer change direct to the Wealthy Healthy Coverage as previously.
2. The good news: anyone from the age of 15 - 70 is eligible to join.
3. The good news: coverage is valid until 85 years of age.

Please note there is no medical check-up required.
You simply need to apply and complete the membership form, declaring any pre-existing conditions that you are aware of or have a record of.
Select your coverage package, pay your premium, and you are covered.
The premiums range from 46,124 baht to 100,231 baht.

If you have any mates riding around uncovered, please get them to join this group policy.
It could not be easier.

is this insurance only for expats/residents in Thailand with their own bike or also for tourists with a rental bike? And if not: Is there any possibility for a useful insurance for tourist bikers?

I apologise the group insurance policy we had has collapsed due to lack of numbers, as reported here.

Everyone seems to have gone their own way, after the collapse of the group not maintaining the minimum number of members.

A story of stupid farang without insurance,me.
3 January with scooter 30 kmh I follow down.
Also David say to me go to ceck but because I am cleaver I not go,I think ribs cannot do nothing just relax in bed.
8 January for make new one year visa they found hight pression hospital.
20 January I ceck again pressure body and still hight,I start thinking and I go to hospital.
One boy in YouTube I follow have accident in Bangkok and they operate him for ematoma
I start thinking…..20 january
Before to go my girl friend bring me to police station for get same money from porobo normal insurance scooter
X ray I have same air between ribs and lan 1 cm doctor say not big problem.
Give me some medicine.
The day after doctor want to see me again telefhone at home x ray again
25 january pression still hight 100 170
I go again srinburinhospital Chiang rai.
See me another doctor and say why another doctors no make operation to me.
They do without make me sleep put one cable inside for take off air between lan and ribs. and blood from lan.
I stay in hospital from 25 january until 31 january
Cable after 2 days go away another operation without sleep only with morfine more painful.
Total cost of hoapital 110.000 Thai baht
Porobo pay until 30.000 Thai baht.
I still not in a perfect condition money are not important when you fell not well.
Just for say a story of a stupid farang……..
I hope I will recover soon but after one month I still sleeping most of the time
