then i saw in the map a "restricted" and i start alone. One my trip i met some guys with a thaiguide. But when we go back i lost the group. Does anyone know who is this thaiguide? He told me he has his shop in Sanpatong or Hang Dong.
Here are some pictures of the real hard tour:
One the right side the thaiguide, does anybody know him?

Great report Hellbob!!!

The Thai guide is a guy that is into Trials bikes and yes he is out near Hang Dong if I'm remembering correctly but sadly i forget his name. Maybe give Luke a PM as his memory has only been distorted by ten years of women and booze.

The Wat Luang Khun Win looks brilliant and a very nice change from gaudy gold colors adorned on most modern Thai temples. Nice find.

I have been through Ob Khan forest a few times on the dirt bike but never came across your vantage point where the river carved out stone sections like in your picture. If you have time could you give me an idea where that section is located?? Thank you.

Once again great post.

DSC02357c.jpg

When you come to the entrance and you want only pass then you must NOT pay 200 baht, because it is only about 500m to the exit.

DSC02359c.jpg

When you pass then a small street goes up

DSC02371c.jpg

DSC02379c.jpg

After the viewpoint the street goes down and will end at the point where many tours start.

Phu Chee Fah on the Laos Border, the view from my bungalow in the morning.

DSC01884c.jpg

The Phu Fah Sawan Resort i can recoment, it is about 7km from the Phu Chee Fah Village Rom Fah Thai. On weekdays many resorts not open or don't want to work. This resort very nice style and friendly. But the most people here speak only thai. The bungalow in Phu Fah Sawan is 500 Baht. The Phu Chee Fah Inn want 500 baht for the old ugly bamboo bungalow, i not ask anymore for the stonebungalows.
Here the Phusawan Resort:

Hellbob,
Agree with those before me that have commented on the quality of your photos (although I find it difficult to download them all at once). Appreciate those you added to my report on the 'collapsed road'. More intriguing though is the way you've identified then travelled the best of the rides out this way - the collapsed road, Jaeson NP (the road down to Maekampong is a beauty), Mon Cham, the 'Kiwi Cruiser' road to Phu Chi Fa (I've stayed at Phusawan & agree its a good choice), Doi Pha Thang......keep it going!
