When it clocked 1000km I got the message and the shop reset it, I thought it would appear again at 6000km but not as yet, I am now over 7000km and still no message.

Service interval, dash display lights at 12,000km. Oil change lights at 6,000km.

The photo you attached does look like basically the same rack.

I have also considered just using my Loboo soft roll top bag (instead of the box), from time to time. I'm interested in streamlining the centre of gravity.

I'd try placing the bag along the length of the rack and seat. I think placing it sideways the soft bag structure would drape too much over the sides of the rack.

This might cause chaffing and premature wear of the pvc material against the metal rack at the drape points.

I haven't tried soft bag only, yet. I'll do it when I return to Maesai, perhaps by the end of this week.

I think I recall seeing a nice rack made by Loboo, on Lazada.

A point I will consider is how the bag strap anchor points work out if the bag is positioned length ways rather than sideways.

In fact, even sideways on the rack the top box mounting plate doesn't have slots wide enough for the bag straps to pass through.

I rode from Chiang Dao to Wiang Haeng yesterday. The weather conditions were dry and road was good fun.

A downpour at Jao Korn Jerngเ จ้ากอนเจิง tombs thoughly drenched me, as I looked across the border to the Myanmar side and the Ordination Hall which is just visible through the trees in this photo.

I decided to dry off while eating at the excellent Krua Piang Luang Restaurant ร้านครัวเปียงหลวง and was made to feel very welcome by the kind owner and friend of GTR David.
