Bike Transport In Thailand

Discussion in 'General Discussion / News / Information' started by DavidFL, Jan 30, 2017.

  1. Thailand is a reasonably lengthy country & if you're travelling to a destination at another end of the country you may not want to ride both ways.

Fortunately there are a couple of options for transporting your bike across the country.

    By the Post Office

    Post A Bike

Post your bike via the Thai post office

Shipping bike from bkk via thai post

    By Train
    Bike on train CM->BKK?

Ship bike BKK to Nong Khai and cross to Vientiane?

    By Truck
There is a professional trucking company that delivers new motorbikes for the dealers
The company is called Threetran Thailand

These are the guys who you see delivering new big bikes all around the country.
    They pick up & deliver
They have a range of pick ups + trucks for transporting motorbikes.
Different sized trucks for individual bikes or fleets of bikes
    Pick up & deliver.

  4. The train asks for Green Book.. But they never look at your bike.
You could show them a Fino book and they would process it..
    - Cheaper too as lower CC haha.

    Embassy Freight

A nationwide transport company with offices in Pathum Thani & Chiang Mai & ...?

Pick up & delivery, door to door. I chose to go from Piston Shop in Chiang Mai because I knew they also used Embassy Freight, plus it would be convenient for me to then pick up a rental bike from Mr Mechanic for a few days.
