I've been going to Dan Sai for Phi Ta Khon festival for over 25 years & most of them have been fabulous amazing rides & events; although memories of some of the events in the early years before it became a TAT Thailand mega event are a bit hazy.
Those earlier events were always folksy & often surreal, there was so much going on.

The early Pee Ta Khons were a lot more down to earth thats for sure accommodation was as basic as it got, but the event was just fantastic without the commercialism and crowding!
